ABOUT THIS PRODUCT

Each CD can load Palm OS®, Pocket PC®, or Blackberry® versions from either the PC or Macintosh desktop platform.

The personal digital assistant (PDA) version of the Tarascon Pocket Pharmacopoeia is installed via a desktop computer using the CD-ROM. Users can then effortlessly obtain continuously-updated drug information each time the synchronize their PDA while Internet-connected. Accordingly, these CDs are not marked with edition years and are instead packaged as a 12-month subscription account. Existing subscribers can purchase a new CD and use it to charge up their subscription account.

The PDA edition includes the expanded drug information from the print Deluxe edition. It also features a fully integrated tool for checking multiple drug interactions. The PDA Pocket Pharmacopoeia can be conveniently loaded onto most extended memory cards to preserve core memory. In addition to the relative pricing codes from the print editions ($ to $$$$), the PDA version also includes exact prices directly from www.drugstore.com.

Pentium Processor Windows 95/98/NT/2000/XP with 32MB Ram and 5MB available on hard drive

Palm Desktop 4.1 or greater (if using Palm)

Palm OS 3.1 or greater (if using Palm)

Microsoft ActiveSync 3.5 or greater (if using PocketPC)

Macintosh System Requirements:

Apple Macintosh or compatible with a PowerPC processor

Mac OS 9.x or greater

Palm Desktop 4.0 for Mac or greater

Auto-update is not supported on Macintosh systems

PDA device requirements:

4.5 MB available Main/Internal memory

1.9 MB available Main/Internal memory if running from a memory card. Main memory will not be occupied while application is closed.

External Memory Storage:

VFS compliant devices only. Palm Memory Cards and Sony Memory Sticks are VFS compliant.

Supported PDA devices:

All PalmOS devices made by Palm, Sony, Handspring, Acer and HandEra are supported with the exception of devices that do not meet memory requirements.

All PocketPC devices are supported.
